GoToMeeting has a handy feature to make scheduling, joining and attending video conferences that little bit quicker (actually, a lot quicker). It’s called the personalised meeting room.
Instead of logging into your GoToMeeting account to start a meeting, with a personalised meeting room, all you need to do is type in your unique URL into a browser and hey presto, you’re in.
Your unique URL can be used every single time you wish to schedule a meeting. You won’t need to log into your account to schedule another meeting ever again, and a participant can simply join by clicking on the URL you provide them with – just paste it into your calendar invite.
You can decide what to call your unique URL. Each one starts with https://gotomeet.me and then you can add your meeting room name (for example https://gotomeet.me/lovemeetings). You may want to use your name, your initials or even your company or product name – as long as it’s available and hasn’t already been claimed by someone else, it’s yours.
You can also select from a range of background colours and add a photo of yourself (or another image, such as a company logo) so that when people arrive to your meeting, they are greeted with your personalised welcome screen.
3. Under Meeting room, click Let’s get started!
4. Now you can choose a name for your meeting room. As long as the name has not been reserved by someone else, you will see a check mark.
5. Click Reserve.
6. Click Customise your new meeting room! Upload your photo (or another image of your choice) and select your background colour.
7. You can now start inviting people to join your video conference. Share your unique URL which will look something like https://gotomeet.me/lovemeetings and your attendees will be able to click and instantly join your online meetings.
